One of my 2021 goals was to read more. I finished the year with 150 books in the book. This year, my goal is to read 200 books. This week, I’m sharing the books I’ve finished between September and December 2022. I wrapped up the year with 216 books added to my "finished" list!

And just like that, another year is over! In 2021, I accomplished some goals and let a few go.

Just like that, May is drawing to a close. Over the last month, I’ve shared a post every day as part of a personal challenge for no other reason than to see if I could do it. I’m grateful that I undertook this exercise in self-discipline, but I’m sort of glad that it’s over. It was a helpful reminder that I can do anything I set my mind to - even if I don’t always feel like it.
I took my last exam on Wednesday, meaning I'm done with my last semester of undergrad (for real this time)! My schedule became much freer as of 11:45 on Wednesday. With my extra time, instead of slothing around on the couch, I thought I’d challenge myself to post every day during May - primarily financial topics - although I will continue my usual random Sunday posts. I’m no stranger to producing daily content, as I shared a video during every day of my 2020 Arnold Amateur prep (side note: I am a stranger to making good content, but I think there are times when finished is better than perfect [or good]). Will I share anything revolutionary during the next month? Perhaps (read: probably not). Will it happen every day (if at all)? Definitely not. The primary purpose of daily posts is to keep moving. In the final weeks of the semester, as I completed projects and my to-do list grew thinner, I found myself creeping into old habits of scrolling through social media (for hours, as much as I hate to admit it), repetitively checking my email (to see if I had any messages I could procrastinate responding to), and just generally feeling down. I need to feel that I am working toward something purposefully. In the past I could jump into a competition prep, but that’s not in the cards at the moment. So, I need to find something to keep me from becoming stagnant. So, I guess I’ll see how this goes -- if posting is the only thing I do in the day, at least I’m doing something. |
